Jenna Ringelheim

Jenna Ringelheim is an environmentalist by profession with a keen interest in exploring the bonds between people and their pets. While writing her first book “Best Hikes with Dogs: Boston and Beyond,” she hiked over 300 miles of trail with her curious canine. An avid outdoorswoman, Jenna now spends her spare time navigating the natural environs of the Pacific Northwest with her two Portuguese Water Dogs, Tasman and Millie. Whether skiing or hiking, she always has her dogs as her co-pilots.

Tasman and Millie

Jenna shares her home with two fluffy black Portuguese Water Dogs.  Tasman is true to his name, a wild, rambunctious, untiring fellow.  Millie, on the other hand, is a mellow and gentle girl - always ready for a run with her buddy Tas. The inspiration for much of Jenna's writing comes from this animated pair of curly-coated dogs.
